Liberty
The state of being free within society from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority on one's way of life, behavior, or political views.
Sovereign
Possessing supreme or ultimate power; in the context of governance, referring to the free will of the people.
Harm Principle
A principle stating that individuals should be free to act however they want unless their actions cause harm to others.
Infallibility Rule
The principle that no one knows everything and therefore it is illogical to suppress opinions because they might be wrong.
Education Value
The importance of learning from past mistakes to avoid repeating them and to foster understanding.
Individualism
A social theory advocating the liberty, rights, or independent action of the individual, believed to be beneficial for both individuals and society.
False Opinions
Perspectives that may be incorrect, yet should be considered and discussed to challenge beliefs and promote understanding.
Limits of Free Speech
The recognition that while individuals are free to express their opinions, there are boundaries when expressions may lead to harm.
Mass Man
A term used to describe modern individuals who align with societal norms, often at the cost of individuality.
Maxim
A general truth, fundamental principle, or rule of conduct that guides behavior; refers here to accountability of individuals to society.
