A state of complete physical and mental exhaustion caused by prolonged stress or overwork.
community health
The overall physical and mental well-being of a group of people living in a shared area.
emotional well-being
A positive state of mind in which a person can manage their feelings effectively.
health literacy
The ability to understand and use health-related information to make good decisions.
preventative medicine
Medical care focused on preventing disease before it occurs, through vaccinations, screenings, and lifestyle changes.
public health
The science and practice of protecting and improving the health of an entire community or population.
self-care
Deliberate activities a person undertakes to maintain or improve their physical and mental health.
vaccination
The administration of a vaccine to stimulate the immune system and protect against a specific disease.
vaccine hesitancy
A reluctance or refusal to receive or allow vaccines, despite their availability.
work-life balance
An even distribution of time and energy between professional responsibilities and personal activities.
affordable housing
Homes that people with average or below-average incomes can reasonably pay for.
landlord / tenant
A landlord owns and rents out a property; a tenant is the person renting it.
gentrification
The process of renovating a district so that it attracts wealthier residents, often displacing existing communities.
sustainable living
A way of life that seeks to reduce one's environmental impact through careful use of resources.
apartment seeker / hunter
A person actively looking for a flat or apartment to rent or buy.
mortgage
A loan from a bank or lender used to buy property, repaid over many years with interest.
utility room
A room in a house used for domestic tasks such as laundry and storage of cleaning equipment.
baggage / luggage
Suitcases, bags, and other containers carried by a traveller on a trip.
eco-tourism
Tourism designed to have a low environmental impact and support conservation and local communities.
itinerary
A detailed plan or schedule for a journey, listing places to visit and activities.
local cuisine
The traditional food and dishes associated with a particular region or country.
tourist trap
A place that attracts many tourists but offers poor quality or overpriced goods and services.
