Group Policy

A set of rules and configurations applied to users and computers in a Windows domain environment.

Mapped Drive

A network folder assigned a drive letter to appear like a local drive on the system.

Metered Connection

A network setting that limits data usage to conserve bandwidth on limited data plans.

Network and Sharing Center

A Control Panel applet used to view and configure network settings and connections.

Network Time Protocol - NTP

A protocol that synchronizes system clocks across a network.

perfmon

A system performance monitoring tool used to observe resource usage such as CPU and memory.

Proxy Server

A server that acts as an intermediary between a user’s computer and the internet.

Universal Naming Convention Path - UNC

A format (\ServerName\SharedFolder) used to access network resources

Virtual Private Network - VPN

A secure connection that encrypts traffic between the user’s device and a remote network.

A cellular-based internet connection like 4G/5G used in mobileenabled laptops.
