What is Peacemaking
_Peacemaking occurs where there has been no peace agreement and military operations may be necessary to create peace
Foreign Aid:
the voluntary transfer of goods or services from governments, international organizations, or NGOs to other countries
Official Development Assistance (ODA):
One of the ways in which Canada and Canadians help those in poorer countries
Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs):
Provides a wide range of aid around the world
Globalization:
_Borders between countries are becoming less important as the world operates increasingly as one unit
Multinational Corporations (MNCs):
_Operates across the entire world because they are able to move their operations from place to place as they see opportunities emerge

Protectionism:
A government's policy of using tariffs and having rules that limit imports_
Free Trade:
A government policy that eliminates tariffs and other laws designed to restrict trade
Why must Canada export and import?
Canada must export and import because without imports and exports, we wouldn't have high-technology products, goods that are produced in certain climates, motor vehicle parts, low-cost goods, and many more. Imports and exports give us the basic needs that we use today.
