Initial Service Preparation Steps
1.) Prepare material and supplies for the service. 2.) Greet client. 3.) Ask client to remove all neck and hair jewelry and store away. 4.) Turn clients collar to the inside. 5.) Do appropriate drape method in the order applied.
Wet Hair Drape
A draping method used for Shampooing, wet designs (rollers), fingerwaving, haircuts, etc., applied in the order of: 1.) neck strip, 2.) Long Plastic Cape, 3.) towel.
Chemical Drape
A draping method used for Color, chemical waves, relaxers, reform curls, highlights, etc., applied in the order of: 1.) Towel, 2.) long plastic cape, 3.) Towel.
Comb-Out Drape
A draping method used on dry hair only for Comb-outs, thermal, braids, Flat Iron, applied in the order of: 1.) Neck strip, 2.) Comb out cape (Cloth cape).
Stateboard Drape
A draping method used for P.S.I. procedures (for Chemicals Skills only), applied in the order of: 1.) Towel, 2.) Kiddie Cap, 3.) Tourel.
