Revolution

Rotation
The spinning of an object on its axis, resulting in a complete turn usually taking one day for Earth.
Seasons
Changes in climate and weather patterns on Earth caused by its axial tilt and revolution around the Sun.
Terrestrial Planets
The four inner planets, Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars, characterized by solid surfaces and a few moons.
Asteroid Belt
The region in space that separates the inner terrestrial planets from the outer gas giants.
Gas Giants
The four outer planets, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune, primarily composed of gases and having many moons.
Universal Solvent
A term used to describe water, which dissolves more substances than any other liquid.
Salt Water
Water that contains a significant concentration of dissolved salt.
Brackish Water
Water that is a mixture of saltwater and freshwater, often found in estuaries.
