Principle
A fundamental truth or proposition that serves as the foundation for a system of belief or behavior.
Atom
The basic unit of a chemical element, consisting of protons, neutrons, and electrons.
Molecule
A group of atoms bonded together that represents the smallest fundamental unit of a chemical compound.
Chemical Reaction
A process that leads to the transformation of one set of chemical substances into another.
Catalyst
A substance that increases the rate of a chemical reaction without undergoing any permanent chemical change.
Mixture
A combination of two or more substances that are not chemically combined and can be separated.
Solvent
The substance in which a solute is dissolved to form a solution.
Solute
The substance that is dissolved in a solvent to form a solution.
pH Scale
A scale used to specify the acidity or basicity of an aqueous solution.
Ion
An atom or molecule that has a net electric charge due to the loss or gain of one or more electrons.
