Semimembranosus
O: Ischial tuberosity I: posterior medial condyle of tibia, part reflects to form oblique popliteal ligament -> inserts lateral femoral condyle A: EXT hip, FLX knee, IROT leg when knee flexed, EXT trunk when hip and knee both flexed N: Tibial division of sciatic nerve, L5, S1, S2
Semitendinosus
O: Ischial tuberosity I: Pes anserine A: EXT hip, FLX knee, IROT leg when knee flexed, EXT trunk when hip and knee both flexed N: Tibial division of sciatic nerve, L5, S1, S2
Biceps femoris long head
O: Ischial tuberosity I: Lateral head of fibula A: Hip EXT, knee FLX, EROT tibia, EXT trunk when hip and knee both flexed N: Tibial division of sciatic nerve, L5, S1, S2
Biceps femoris short head
O: Linea aspera and lateral supracondylar line of femur I: Lateral head of fibula A: Knee FLX, EROT leg when knee flexed N: Common peroneal division of sciatic nerve, L5, S1, S2
Rectus femoris
O: anterior inferior iliac spine & ilium around it I: Quadriceps tendon A: pulls patella superiorly and helps EXT knee N: Femoral nerve, L2-4
Vastus medialis
O: Intertrochanteric line and medial lip of linea aspera I: medial aspect of patella into quadriceps tendon A: pull patella medially while extending knee N: Nerve to vastus medialis branch of femoral nerve, L2-4
Vastus intermedius
O: Anterior and lateral surfaces of femoral shaft I: Quadriceps tendon A: Helps extend knee joint N: Femoral nerve, L2-4
Vastus lateralis
O: Greater trochanter and lateral lip of linea aspera I: Quadriceps tendon A: Pulls patella laterally and extends the knee N: Femoral nerve, L2-4
Iliacus
O: Superior 2/3 iliac fossa, iliac crest, ala of sacrum, anterior sacroiliac ligaments I: lesser trochanter of femur and shaft just inferior to it, blends with psoas major tendon A: induce hip FLX and stabilize hip joint N: Femoral nerve, L2-4
Pectineus
O: superior ramus of pubis I: pectineal line just inferior to lesser trochanter A: ADD and FLX thigh, assists with IROT thigh N: Femoral nerve, L2-4
Sartorius
O: Anteriorir superior iliac spine and superior portion of notch just inferior to ASIS I: Pes anserine A: Hip FLX, ABD, EROT, and knee FLX - FIGURE 4 position!! N: Femoral nerve, L2-3
