EMG
Electromyography, a diagnostic procedure used to assess the health of muscles and the nerve cells that control them.
ECG/EKG
Electrocardiogram, a test that records the electrical activity of the heart.
Graphy
A term used to indicate a recording or the process of recording, as in radiography.
Cerebral
Pertaining to the brain.
Trypsy
Crushing; a suffix used in medical terms.
Neurotripsy
The crushing of a nerve.
Meningo
Referring to the meninges, the membranes that envelop the brain and spinal cord.
Myelo
Relating to the spinal cord.
Hydrocephalus
A condition characterized by an accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid within the brain.
Neurolysis
Destruction of nerve tissue.
Quadriplegia
Paralysis affecting all four limbs.
Arthroplasty
Surgical reconstruction or replacement of a joint.
Amputation
The surgical removal of a limb or part of a limb.
Osteoporosis
A condition characterized by weakened bones and a higher risk of fractures.

Difficult or labored breathing.
Otitis
Inflammation of the ear.

The measurement of hearing ability.
