Who was Prokudin-Gorskii?
Sergey Prokudin-Gorskii was a Russian photographer and chemist who pioneered early color photography.
How did Prokudin-Gorskii capture color images before color film?
He used three black-and-white exposures through red, green, and blue filters and combined them.

The light-sensitive layer at the back of the eye.
