Anterior Scalene

O: anterior tubercles of TPs C3-6

I: Rib 1

A: lateral FLX, ROT of neck

N: Cervical spinal nerves, C4-6

Middle Scalene

O: TPs C1-2 and posterior tubercles of TPs C3-7

I: Superior surface rib 1 just posterior to groove for subclavian artery

A: lateral sideFLX, lifts rib 1 during forceful inspiration
