Similarity (Devices)
Linking phrases used to show how things are alike, including as do, similarly, and in comparison.
Highlighting (Devices)
Linking terms used to emphasize specific points, such as in particular and particularly.
Contrast (Devices)
Linking words and phrases used to show differences, such as as opposed to, in contrast, and however.
Summary (Devices)
Linking phrases used to conclude or provide an overview, including overall, in conclusion, to conclude, and to summarise.
Pre-1845 Mumbai
The geographic state of Mumbai when it was made up of 7 different islands rather than the single mainland that exists today.
Present-day Mumbai
A highly developed area with one mainland featuring railway lines, major roads, and various facilities like hotels, cinemas, churches, and hospitals.

The south part of Mumbai, named after one of the original islands.

The areas that constitute the north part of present-day Mumbai.

The east part of Mumbai, which features a harbour located to its east.
