Power (Modern World)
A system where the state watches over individuals, and the feeling of potentially being observed at all times alters their behavior.
Knowledge is power
The concept that the state gains authority through its ability to find out things about individuals.
Panopticon
A blueprint for a prison that is circular in shape with a watchtower in the middle, designed so an observer could possibly be watching at any point.
Watchtower (Panopticon)
The central structure of the circular prison blueprint that facilitates the observation of inmates.
Social media censorship
The act of individuals censoring what they post online due to the fear of someone watching them.
