What is the right-hand grip rule?
A rule used to find the direction of magnetic fields around a wire.
How do you use the right-hand grip rule?
Thumb points in current direction, fingers curl in magnetic field direction.
What is an electromagnet?
A magnet created by electric current flowing through a coil.
What is a solenoid?
A coil of wire that produces a magnetic field when current flows through it.
What does the right-hand solenoid rule show?
The north pole direction of a solenoid.
How can you make an electromagnet stronger?
Increase current, add more coils, or use a soft iron core.
Why is soft iron used in electromagnets?
It increases the magnetic field strength.
