Nature of the Flaw

If-then statements are by nature hypothetical so without proof that the trigger is true, one cannot conclude anything from the if-then statement, especially that the result os true.

So when the speaker concludes that the result from the if-then statement is true, the speaker is assuming that the if-then is not hypothetical - that the trigger is true

4
New cards

Assumption for a naked trigger

For the person/thing in the conc, the trigger in the EVID is true

5
New cards

Assumption in a Supported Trigger

If support is true, then the assumed trigger is true

CACs and WACs

TMs prefer to really reward those who understand ASST flaw. CACs tend to deal with the assumption directly
