An unauthorized AP that mimics a legitimate AP to capture user data.
Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP)
An outdated security protocol for wireless networks that encrypts transmissions using a shared secret key.
Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA)
A security protocol designed to provide a stronger wireless network security than WEP.
Wi-Fi Protected Access 2 (WPA2)
An advanced version of WPA that provides improved encryption and data integrity.
Wi-Fi Protected Access 3 (WPA3)
The latest generation of Wi-Fi security protocol that enhances protection and simplifies configuration.
MAC Address Filtering
A method of controlling access to a WLAN by allowing only devices with specific MAC addresses.
Rogue Access Point
An unauthorized AP, set up by an insider, that bypasses network security.
Denial of Service Attack
