What is the difference between bud scale scars and bud scars?
bud scars are the remnants of individual buds, while bud scale scars are the marks left after protective scales from the terminal bud have shed
Bud Scar: Small, isolated, circular marks along the stem.
Bud Scale Scar: Ring-like or banded scars that encircle the stem, often used to indicate annual growth.
