  1. Explain why prophethood is important in Islam.

Prophethood is important in Islam because prophets communicate Allah’s guidance to humanity.

Prophets are chosen by Allah to teach people how to live correctly and worship Him alone. Without prophets, humans would not know Allah’s laws or expectations. The Qur’an states, “We have sent a messenger to every nation” (Qur’an 16:36), showing guidance has always been provided. This links to the importance of prophethood as it ensures all people have access to Allah’s message.

Another reason prophethood is important is because prophets act as role models for Muslims.

They show how to live a righteous and obedient life in practice, not just in belief. Muslims follow the example of prophets such as Ibrahim and Musa, who showed trust and submission to Allah. The Qur’an says, “Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah you have an excellent example” (Qur’an 33:21). This highlights that prophethood helps Muslims understand how to live their faith daily.
