DSM5 Panic Attack
Abrupt surge of intense fear or discomfort peaking within minutes with 4 of the following symptoms:
Palpitations
Sweating
Trembling / Shaking
Shortness of breath / Smothering
Feeling of choking
Chest pain / discomfort
Nausea / Abdominal distress
Feeling dizzy / light-headed
Chills / heat sensations
Paresthesias
Derealization / Depersonalization
Fear of losing control or “going crazy”
Fear of dying
DSM5 Panic Disorder
A. Recurrent unexpected panic attacks
B. 1 attack has been followed by 1month of 1 of the follows:
Persistent concern or worry about additional attack or consequences
Significant maladpative change in behavior related to attacks
C. The disturbance is not attributable to the physiological effects of a substance or another medical condition
D. The disturbance is not better explained by another mental disorder (e.g. panic only in social situations – social anxiety disorder; specific phobias)
DSM5 Agoraphobia
A. Marked fear or anxiety of 2 of the following:
Using public transportation
Being in open spaces
Bening in enclosed places
Standing in line / being in crowds
Being outside the home alone
B. Patient fears / avoids the situations because thought that escape might be difficult or help might not be available in the event of developing panic-like symptoms or other incapacitant/embarrassing symptoms
C. Situations almost always provoke fear/anxiety
D. Situations are activly avoided, require a companion, or endured with intense fear / anxeity
E. Fear/Anxiety is out of proportion to acutal danger posed
F. Fear/Anxiety or Avoidance is presistent for at least 6 months
G. Fear/Anxiety or Avoidance causes clinically significant distress or impairment to important areas of functioning
H. Symptoms are not caused by a medical disorder
I. Symptoms are not better explained by another mental disorder
DSM5 Specific Phobia
A. Marked fear/anxiety about specific object or situation
B. Object/Situation almost always provokes immediate fear/anxiety
C. Object/Situation is activly avoided or endured with intense fear/anxiety
D. Object/Situation is out of proportion to acutal danger
E. Fear/Anxiety or Avoidance is persistent for at least 6 months
F. Causes clinically significant distress or impairment in important areas of function
G. not better explained by another mental disorder

Social anxiety disorder: DSM 5-TR
A. Marked fear/anxiety about one or more social situations in which individual is exposed to possible scrunity
Social Interactions
Being observed
Performing in front of others
B. Patient fears that they will act in a way or show anxious symptoms that will be negativity evaluated
C. Social situations almost always provoke fear/anxiety
D. social situations are avoided / endured with intense fear/anxiety
E. Fear/anxiety is out of proportions to actual threat
F. Present for at least 6 months
G. clinically significant distress / impairment in functioning
H / I / J. Not attributed to substance use, another mental health disorder, or medical issue
Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) DSM5TR
A. Excessive anxiety and wory for more days than not for at least 6 months about number of events
B. Patients finds it difficult to control the worry
C. Three or more of the following associated with anxiety/worry
Restlessness / feeling keyed up / on edge
easily fatigued
Difficulty concentrating / mind going blank
Irritability
Muscle tension
Sleep disturbance
D. clinically significant distress / impairment in functioning
E / F. attributed to effects of substances, another mental illness, or medical problem
