Furosemide
indications: pulmonary edema, edema (related to heart failure, liver disease, kidney disease), hypertension

indications: used to treat major depressive disorders, mood related conditions, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorders
paroxetine
indications: anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD
inhibits serotonin reuptake

side: sexual dysfunction, weight gain, insomnia
SUICIDAL THOUGHTS AND BEHAVIORS
NC: assess for symptoms, of serotonin syndrome (ex: agitation, fever, diaphoresis, tremors)

indications: solid tumors

side: GI upset, alopecia (hair loss), red discolorations of urine/sweat/tears
CARDIAC TOXICITY, AML, BONE MARROW SUPPRESSION
—> causes red discoloration of secretions, and cardiac toxicity
NC: monitor cardiac function, CBC levels, administer antiemetics for nausea/vomiting

indications: prevention and treatment of thromboembolic disorders (ex: DVT, PE, AFIB, with thrombus). prevention of complications following an MI
