Prisudzovací vetný sklad (Predicative Syntactic Pair)
A syntactic pair formed by the primary sentence elements: the subject (podmet) and the predicate (prísudok).
Určovací vetný sklad (Determinative Syntactic Pair)
A syntactic pair formed by a governing sentence element (nadradený vetný člen) and a subordinate sentence element (podradený vetný člen).
Priraďovací vetný sklad (Coordinating Syntactic Pair)
A syntactic pair formed by equivalent/coordinate sentence elements (rovnocenné vetné členy / viacnásobné).
Priamy predmet (Direct Object)
An object expressed in the accusative case without a preposition, answering the question 'vidím koho? čo?' (e.g., 'topánky', 'zeleninu', 'pieseň', 'plán').
Nepriamy predmet (Indirect Object)
An object expressed in cases other than accusative without a preposition, such as instrumental, dative, genitive, locative, or with prepositions (e.g., 'zákonom', 'rodičom', 'tmy', 'dovolenke').
Zhodný prívlastok (Congruent Modifier)
A noun modifier that agrees in grammatical categories with the noun it modifies (e.g., 'detský plač', 'plastový príbor', 'kávová vôňa').
Nezhodný prívlastok (Incongruent Modifier)
A noun modifier that does not agree in form with the noun it modifies (e.g., 'plač detí', 'príbor z plastu', 'šálku s kávou', 'napodobeninu DNA').
Slovesno-menný prísudok (Verbal-Nominal Predicate)
A predicate composed of a verb and a nominal element (e.g., 'sú najbližší príbuzní', 'sú vyčerpaní', 'bude dobrá', 'je dobrák').
Slovesný prísudok (Verbal Predicate)
A predicate formed entirely by a verb or verb construction (e.g., 'chcú pracovať', 'tancujú', 'prestal vystrájať', 'čítal').
Zamlčaný podmet (Unexpressed / Silent Subject)
A subject omitted from explicit expression in the sentence but understood from context (e.g., '(On)' in 'Zavrel sa do izby').
Viacnásobný podmet (Multiple / Compound Subject)
A subject consisting of two or more coordinated elements (e.g., 'Babky a dedkovia' in 'Babky a dedkovia sa prechádzajú').
Rozvitý podmet (Expanded Subject)
A subject accompanied by one or more attributes or modifiers (e.g., 'Usilovní žiaci' in 'Usilovní žiaci neleňošia').
Slovesno-vetný základ (Verbal Sentence Base)
A main sentence element present in subjectless impersonal sentences (e.g., 'Rozvidnelo sa').
