Good time to mention that this tour is apolitical because I work for tips!!

No matter how you feel about the name at the front, this is a feat of engineering. 2nd tallest building in the city behind the sears tower (NOT the Willis tower). designed by Adrian Smith and William Baker who designed the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the world's tallest building.

Marina City

By Bertrand Goldberg and opened in stages from 1963-1967.

Saw how many ppl were moving to the suburbs for convenience and built these condo towers as a city within a city- has theater, gym, swimming pool, ice rink, bowling alley, stores, restaurants, and its namesake marina which you can literally drive ur boat out of the building!! Crazy

(as you’re crossing bridge) Carbon and Carbide

Art deco skyscraper that stands out for its dark green color and real gold at the top!! By the Burnham brothers (son of Daniel Burnham, the father of the post fire city layout and much of its architecture).

Made in 1929 (how so opulent in the depression)? Housed union carbide and carbon battery corporation (which would become energizer).

Legend has it, since it was made during the height of prohibition, it was made to look like a champagne bottle being uncorked as a big finger to the government.
