HIPAA Privacy Rule
Regulations that ensure patients control their health information, determining how it is used and shared.
Release of Information (ROI)
A feature of the HIPAA Privacy Rule, allowing control and tracking access to Protected Health Information (PHI).
Implied Consent
A type of consent where a patient agrees to a procedure through their actions, such as following a nurse to have blood drawn.
Informed Consent
