The leader is able to give an award to lead their desire or take away something they do not desire.
They are well liked by group members

• e.g. teacher taking away classes homework if they work quitely

why are people voted into this postion?

• people come to this postion of power useally by being votied in by the group or community

  • useally becuase of their spefic skills or talent

How do people in legitmate power bases use their power and how do group members interat with leader?

• people in this position of power use their power lawfully and generally, group members respect and value a leader who uses their power legitimately.

Various leadership styles are appropriate in various group settings, various power bases are more influential, depending on the type of group.
