SICK/ BECOME SICK

middle figure in. dom hand point to head, ndom pointing to stomach

HAPPY

take both hands and pat twice upwards on the chest while smiling

SAD

take both hands flat facing the face and move them downwards while frowning

CRY (TWO VERS)

move fists under the eyes and twist. OR use the pointer finger and trace where tears would fall. (look sad)

SOB

FAT (person)

Puff out cheeks and use arms in a round motion around the body to indicate large. (not rude just observation)

THIN (person)

use pinkys with the dominant hand on top. Start at the middle of torso with pinkys touching and going up/down. OR use flat hands with palms toward the center of the body and push. (SUCK CHEEKS)

BIG

like in the family demo. big, very big and huge. when things get larger the face gets more dramatic. Claw-like hands move out and up

SMALL

suck cheeks and with palms facing eachother to the middle of the body move inwards slightly. OR do small pinching move with dom and flat upward palm with ndom.

ANGRY

scrunch up your face and with dom hand claw like hand moves towards face

DONT/UNDERSTAND/A LITTLE

with the dom hand use a fist up to the side of forehead and then point the pointer finger up. If you dont understand look confused and shake head. if you understand a lil then do the motion with pinky

SLEEP/Y

take both hands to the eyes from open to closed and from close to farther from the eyes. close your eye and tilt a bit. When you are sleepy do motion with one hand and move into a moving Y motion.

TIRED

point both hand to the heart and then slump them down so that the pinkys are touching the chest.

BOOK/THIN/FAT

sign for book then put ndom hand with flat pinky out. Dom hand pinches up and down the ‘spine’ (suck cheeks). Or sign for book then put ndom hand palm up and then sign C on top and make huge face

DREAM

Dom hand to the side of forehead and move pointer up and down. move the hand up and diagonal

FUNNY/FUN

use a two finger motion to the nose and scrunch the face and simile, thumb out a lil and wag the fingers.

When fun just touch the nose and put on a ndom two finger (like sit)

MEAN

Scrunch the face. palms inwards and the crunched dom hand hits the ndom crunched hand

HANGOVER

use a Y motion with the dom hand and put it on the side of the neck. move head back a lil like swaying.

SAUSAGE

use a Y motion with the dom hand and put it on the side of the neck, tap twice. or use both hands to squeeze ‘links’

HURT+ location

whereever you are hurting use both hands to make uwu sign with pointer fingers going together in the middle in and out

THANK-YOU

use the dom hand on the middle of the chin with closed hand and palm toward the face. move directly outward and toward the person being thanked

SLOW

move the dom hand across the ndom arm in a slow motion

PLEASE

put dom hand around the heart and move in a circular motion

SORRY

similar to please, put dom fist over the heart and move in a circular motion

SIGN (individual)/englishlike-signing

move both hands in a pointing shape toward the middle of the body and move in a circular motion around each other

SIGN-IN-ASL

put both hands up and make an almost grabbing like motion towards the air.

MON, TUES, WEDS, FRI, SAT

in a circular motion with the dom hand make the letter that the day starts with.

fri is three

sat is a fist

PALM ORIENTATION/MOVEMENT- SIT,NAME

tap sit or name twice and it becomes a noun (chair,or name)

move sit fingers diagonal and it turns into name

hands moving with fingers up is traffic, but with fingers outwards it is enthusiastic

GOOD

almost like thank you but it is targeted down. Dom hand on chin and move down (formally you put the dom hand on a flat ndom hand)

BAD

dom hand on chin almost like thank you but twist

DONT/LIKE/HATE

LIKE- dom hand use middle finger and thumb to almost pinch the shirt and move out

DONT LIKE- pinch a lil but then twist it out

HATE- flick at something and grimace

DONT/KNOW

use flat dom hand to touch side of the forehead and nod the head

dont- touch side of forehead but then twist and shake the head no

HOME

Dom pinched hand on the cheek, then cheek bone

HOME-deaf perspective

some Deaf people consider the school for deaf people their home instead of their family home

PUBLIC

used to be the sign for hearing (dom hand pointer finger around the mouth circling)

now it changed and is both hand with fingers touching then moving open
