Posterior Cavity
The back part of the eye that contains vitreous humor.
Ciliary Body
A structure in the eye that controls the shape of the lens.
Optic Disc
The point of exit for ganglion cell axons, creating a blind spot.
Retina
The layer at the back of the eye where light is converted into neural signals.
Sclera
The white outer coating of the eyeball.
Cornea
The transparent front part of the eye that covers the iris and pupil.
Pinna
The outer visible part of the ear.
Tympanic Membrane
Also known as the eardrum, it separates the outer ear from the middle ear.
Cochlea
A spiral-shaped organ in the inner ear responsible for hearing.
Vestibular System
A sensory system that contributes to balance and spatial orientation.
Macula Lutea
A yellow spot in the retina that is responsible for central vision.
Fovea Centralis
The central pit in the macula that provides the clearest vision.
Semicircular Canals
Structures in the inner ear responsible for balance.
Auditory Ossicles
The three small bones in the middle ear (malleus, incus, stapes) that transmit sound vibrations.
