characteristics of typical disfluency

  1. No more than 10 disfluencies per 100 words.

2. Typically, one-unit repetitions; occasionally two.

3. Most common disfluency types are interjections, revisions, and whole-word repetitions. As children mature past age use of part-word repetitions will decline.
