Hyperopia
A vision condition where distant objects may be seen more clearly than close ones (farsightedness).
Cataract
A clouding of the lens in the eye that affects vision.
Optic nerve
The nerve that transmits visual information from the retina to the brain.
Basilar membrane
A structure in the cochlea that plays a crucial role in hearing; it vibrates in response to sound.
Olfactory bulb
The neural structure involved in the sense of smell, processing odors received from the nasal cavity.
