Opposition
Touching the pad of a finger to the pad of your thumb.
Reposition
Separating the touching finger and thumb
Elevation
movement in a superior direction ( raising shoulders)
Depression
Movement in an inferior direction (lowering shoulders)
Inversion
Movement of the ankle inwards towards the midsagittal (sole facing inwards)
Eversion
movement of the ankle outwards away from the midline (sole facing outwards)
Circumduction
Circular movement (tennis serve, spinning arm in a circle)
Rotation
Rotation on an axis (turning your head)
Extention
Movement where two elements of a jointed part are drawn away from each other (making the arm flat is an extension of the elbow joint)
Flexion
draws two elements of a jointed part closer together (flexing guns)
Horizontal Flexion
Flexion on the horizontal plane

extension on the horizontal plane
Dorsiflexion
backwards bending of a foot or hand to reduce distance between back of hand or foot and limb.

Plantarflexion
Downward bending of the foot away from the body.
