Chemistry
The study of matter and the changes matter undergoes.
Matter
Anything that has mass and occupies space.
Scientific Method
A systematic approach used by chemists to guide their search for new knowledge.
Observation
The act of carefully watching phenomena to gather information.
Hypothesis
A working model that explains the facts summarized by a law and is subject to adjustment as new information is discovered.
Law
A concise, experimentally validated statement that describes the consistent behavior of matter under specific conditions.
Theory
A structured explanation of a phenomenon developed from a hypothesis that survives many experiments.
Macroscopic
Refers to the large-scale observations of matter.
Microscopic
Refers to the small-scale, atomic, or molecular level observations.
Experiment
A procedure carried out to test a hypothesis or observe phenomena.
Data
Information collected during an experiment that helps in analyzing relationships and forming laws.
