Contraception

Gamete Production
The process of producing reproductive cells; in women, one oocyte matures monthly, while men produce sperm daily.
Hormonal Methods
Contraceptive methods that prevent ovulation by using synthetic hormones, such as pills, patches, and injections.
Barrier Methods
Methods that prevent sperm from getting to the eggs, including condoms and diaphragms.
IUD (Intrauterine Device)

Spermicides

Diaphragm
A flexible cup placed over the cervix filled with spermicide to block sperm from entering the uterus.
