A system where people elect their representatives through elections and the government is formed by the will of the people.
Equality (in Democracy)
The principle where all citizens have equal rights, every person has one vote, and each vote has equal value.
Freedom (in Democracy)
The ability for citizens to enjoy freedom of speech, expression, religion, movement, and the right to express opinions openly.
Natural Environment Factors
Elements such as climate, landforms, and rivers that determine human clothes, housing, occupations, and civilization.
Human Environmental Modification
Ways humans change nature to meet needs, including cutting forests, building roads and dams, and mining minerals.
Social Science
The branch of knowledge that studies human society and social relationships, dealing with behavior, culture, economy, politics, and history.
Critical Thinking
A skill encouraged by Social Science that helps students question, analyze, and think logically about social, political, and economic issues.
Indian Diversity
The variety across India characterized by different religions, languages, cultures, castes, and traditions.
Poverty
A major social issue where people are unable to meet basic needs such as food, clothing, shelter, education, and healthcare.
Gender Inequality
Unequal treatment of men and women where women and girls lack equal opportunities in education, employment, and decision-making.
Unemployment
The condition in which people who are able and willing to work cannot find jobs.
Scope of Social Science
A wide field that studies all aspects of human life in society and covers many subjects to understand different dimensions of society.
Economic Thinking
The process of comparing prices, quality, and usefulness before buying a product, as learned in Social Science.
Responsible Citizenship
Daily actions like following traffic rules, voting in elections, and respecting public property as taught through rights and duties.
Social Harmony
The state of living peacefully with people of different religions, languages, and cultures, promoted through tolerance and cooperation.
