Statistical Inference Methods
Techniques used to draw conclusions about a population based on a sample.
Categorical Data
Data that can be divided into distinct categories.
Quantitative Data
Data that can be measured and expressed numerically.
x² Test for Independence
A statistical test used to determine if there is a significant association between two categorical variables.
Binomial Distribution
A probability distribution that summarizes the number of successes in a fixed number of trials.
Multinomial Distribution
A generalization of the binomial distribution for scenarios where each trial can result in more than two possible outcomes.
x² GOF Test (Goodness of Fit Test)
A statistical test used to determine how well a sample distribution fits a population distribution.
One Proportion Test
A hypothesis test used to determine if a sample proportion is significantly different from a known population proportion.
Linear Regression
A statistical method for modeling the relationship between a dependent variable and one or more independent variables.
Spearman's Rank Correlation
A non-parametric measure of rank correlation, assessing how well the relationship between two variables can be described by a monotonic function.
Wilcoxon Rank Sum Test
A non-parametric test that compares two independent samples to determine if they come from the same distribution.
Two-way ANOVA
A statistical test that evaluates the influence of two different categorical independent variables on one continuous dependent variable.
Friedman Test
A non-parametric test used to detect differences in treatments across multiple test attempts.
