Shewhart Chart
A control chart used to evaluate the stability of a process by measuring ongoing bias.
Warning Limits
The limits set at ±2 standard deviations from the target value; indicates potential issues.
Action Limits
The limits set at ±3 standard deviations from the target value; any result beyond these indicates an out-of-control process.
LRM (Long-term Routine Monitoring)
Data used for quality control to assess stability of measurements over time.
Bias Evaluation
The process of determining if there is a consistent deviation from the target value in analytical measurements.
Mean
The average value calculated from a set of measurements.
Standard Deviation (SD)
A measure of the amount of variation or dispersion in a set of values.
Phosphate analysis
The analysis of phosphate concentration, often measured in nmol/dm³.
Batch Rejection Criteria
Standards for determining whether a batch of analysis is considered out-of-control and should be rejected.
Moving Average Chart
A chart that shows the average of a set of values over a specified number of consecutive data points.
ISO 7870-2: 2013
An international standard that outlines criteria for control charts, including rejection criteria.
Control Chart
A graphical representation used to monitor the quality of a process over time.
QC (Quality Control)
A system of maintaining standards in manufactured products by testing a sample of the output.
