Coterminal Angles
Angles that share the same terminal side.
Standard Position
An angle where the vertex is at the origin and the initial side is along the positive x-axis.
Positive Coterminal Angle
A coterminal angle formed by moving in a counter-clockwise direction.
Negative Coterminal Angle
A coterminal angle formed by moving in a clockwise direction.
Converting Degrees to Radians
The process of multiplying a degree measure by 180π.
Converting Radians to Degrees
The process of multiplying a radian measure by π180.
Terminal Side
The side indicating where the rotation of an angle ends.
Quadrant
One of the four sections of the coordinate plane where the terminal side of an angle lies.
Coterminal Range for Degrees
The common practice of finding an angle coterminal to a given angle that lies between 0∘ and 360∘.
Coterminal Range for Radians
The common practice of finding an angle coterminal to a given angle that lies between 0 and 2π.
