Conjure up
To create a memory, picture, or idea in your mind; to imagine.
Dress up
To put on different clothes in order to make yourself look smarter than usual or to disguise yourself; to put on special clothes.
End up
To do something even though you did not originally intend to; to do something eventually.
Give up
To decide that you cannot do something and stop trying to do it; no longer want to do something.
Live up to
To be as good as someone or something was expected to be.
Think up
To invent an idea or plan using mental effort.
Book (verb)
To arrange to have a seat, room, performer, etc. at a particular time in the future.
Caravan
A wheeled vehicle for living or travelling in, especially for holidays, that contains beds and cooking equipment and can be pulled by a car.
Youth hostel
A place where people, especially young people, can stay cheaply for short periods when they are travelling.
Guesthouse
Accommodation where the people can stay in a home hosted by a local resident.
Villa
A house, usually in the countryside or near the sea, especially in southern Europe, and often one that people can rent for a holiday.
Chalet
A small wooden house found in mountain areas, especially in Switzerland, or a house built in a similar style, especially one used by people on holiday.
Single (room)
A room in a hotel for one person.
Self-catering
Having cooking facilities available so that you can cook meals for yourself rather than having them provided for you.
Voyage
A long journey especially by ship.
Journey
The act of travelling from one place to another, especially in a vehicle.
Full-board
An arrangement in which all your meals are provided at the hotel or rooms that you are paying to stay in.
En-suite
Used to describe a bathroom that is directly connected to a bedroom, or a bedroom that is connected to a bathroom.
Insurance
An agreement in which you pay a company money and they pay your costs if you have an accident, injury, etc.
Double (room)
A room in a hotel for two people.
Aisle
A long, narrow space between rows of seats in an aircraft, cinema, or church.
Half-board
A hotel room combined with breakfast and another meal either in the evening or in the middle of the day.
Suitcase
A large, rectangular container with a handle, for carrying clothes and possessions while travelling.
