Contrast Type I, Type II, and Type III survivorship curves.
Type I shows low mortality early and high mortality late. Type II shows constant mortality throughout life. Type III shows high mortality early and low mortality later in life.

Contrast cohort and static life tables.

What does net reproductive rate (R₀) tell us?
R₀ is the average number of offspring produced by an individual during its lifetime. R₀ > 1 means growth, R₀ = 1 means stability, and R₀ < 1 means decline.
