What are the steps in the socialization process?
Anticipatory Socialization:
Everything that takes places prior to joining the job
It’s all about congruence!
Encounter:
Newcomers are learning about tasks, roles, and interpersonal networks
Change and Acquisition:
Adding structure to the encounter to be able to succeed

a system of shared general meaning held by people within an organization
