Information Processing
The process of changing or converting data / instructions into meaningful information, involving human and machine (computer / system) interaction.
Meaningful Information
Processed, organized or classified data which is useful for the receiver.
Input (Operation)
The stage where the computer reads instructions or accepts data entered by the user.
Process (Operation)
The stage where the computer performs instructions, verifies information, or calculates data.
Output (Operation)
The stage where the computer displays a message on the monitor screen or produces results such as printouts or sounds.
Storage (Operation)
The stage where the computer saves, stores, or keeps documents and records for future use.
Input Keywords
Get, Read, Accept, and Receive.
Process Keywords
Perform, Verify, Calculate, Compute, Determine, Deduct, Validate, and Check.
Output Keywords
Display, Show, Output, Beep sound, Print, Dispense, Eject, and Issue.
