Paraphilia
Unusual sexual attraction beyond the usual, involving intense, persistent sexual interest in anything other than a physically mature, consenting human.
Paraphilic Disorder
A paraphilia causing distress or impairment to the individual, or harm to others, meeting the criteria for a mental disorder.
Fetishistic Disorder
A highly specific focus on a non-genital body part, such as feet, women's shoes, or underwear, excluding clothing used for cross-dressing.
Transvestic Disorder
Involves cross-dressing, primarily in heterosexual males, differentiated from Fetishistic Disorder by the absence of a specific item of women's clothing required for arousal.
Sexual Sadism Disorder
Sexual gratification from inflicting pain or humiliation on another, involving distress or impairment.
Sexual Masochism Disorder
Sexual gratification from having pain or humiliation inflicted on oneself, involving distress or impairment.
BDSM
Consensual sexual sadism/masochism activities, fairly common in the general population, with an average onset in childhood to early adulthood.
Exhibitionistic Disorder
Involves exposing genitals to an unwilling stranger, often accompanied by masturbation, and a desire to shock the victim.
Voyeuristic Disorder
Preference for watching others undress or have sex, with the victim being unaware, often involving masturbation.
Frotteuristic Disorder
Involves sexually touching an unsuspecting victim, usually in crowded places, predominantly affecting males.
Pedophilic Disorder
Involves sexual attraction to prepubescent children, with criteria including acting on urges or causing distress/impairment, more common in men.
Pedophilia
Preference for children without necessarily acting on the urges.
Other Paraphilic Disorders
Include zoophilia, necrophilia, coprophilia, and various other unusual sexual arousal patterns.
