Decisions That Influence Health
Food choices, physical activity, managing feelings, handling social situations, and sleep.
Benefits of Improving Overall Health and Wellness
Improved quality of life, increased life span, greater energy levels, stronger immune system, improved self-confidence and self-esteem, improved relationships, improved ability to manage and control stress.
Food Security
When people have physical, social, and economic access to sufficient, safe food that meets their dietary needs and preferences for an active and healthy lifestyle.
Comfort Food
Food associated with childhood that people believe makes them feel better during stressful times.
Sense of Belonging (Psychological Need)
Food can help create a bond between people, giving them a sense of belonging.
Enjoyment (Psychological Need)
The way you enjoy food is often dependent on the situation in which you consume the food; preparing food can bring pleasure.
