Boiling down the problem:
Listening to how client feels about problem (not for too long as you want to intervene)
Identifying the precipitating event
Identify how it affects the different domains of their life
Gently reframe thinking if and when appropriate
What does C involve in ABC?
Coping:
Identify strengths and resources that can be used
Create a plan for moving forward
Refer as appropriate

Stabilise:
Safety
Basic needs
