4 Rules of Marksmanship
Treat every rifles as if it were loaded, never point your rifle at anything you do not intend to shoot, keep your finger straight and off the trigger until you are ready to fire, keep the rifle on “safe” until you are ready to fire.
Firing Line
the red line where shooters stand/lie to fire
Lanes
The red individual shooting areas marked by lines to ensure separation.
Ready Line
The yellow line were shooters wait before being called to the firing lane to shoot.
CBI (clear barrel indicator)
A bright colored plastic tube/cord inserted into the barrel to show the chamber is empty.
LOAD
command given to prepare the rifle with a pellet.
START
command given to begin firing at the targets.
STOP
immediate command to cease all firing and open actions.
Commanding Office (CO)
individual with primary authority and responsibility.
Coporal of the Guard
supervises the relief; assist the Sergeant of the Guard.
Interior Guard
detailed to preserve order and protect property within a command.
UCMJ
uniform code of military justice.
Court Martial
military court for trying members of the armed forces.
Misconduct
