A Function
A graph represents a function if and only if every x value on graph corresponds to exactly one y value.
Relative Minimum point
A point that is lower than all other points around it.
Inverse function
If a function contains the the points (a,b) then the inverse is just (b,a). Just switch the variables.
Domain
Domain of a quadratic function is all real values of x.
Relative Maximum Point
Highest point compared to nearby points.
Range of a function
Set of all possible function outputs. Y axis.
Input of a function
Independent variable, the X.
Output of a function
F(x), the Y variable and dependent variable.
Intervals
Set of numbers that contain all other number between two in a set. -1<x<9
Inputs and outputs of inverse functions
Inverse functions are just domain and range being swapped back to one another. “h-1(x)=y if and only if h(y)=x

Y intercept
Y=mx+b
Point slope
y=y+m(x+x)
Exponentially Equations
Y=2(3) square* x+1

Mean Median Mode
Mean- sum divided by count, median- the middle value, mode is the most frequent.
Parabola
A u shaped symmetrical plane curve.
Y=x2+2x+1
Vertex
The turning point, the minimum or the maximum point.
Axis of symmetry
Imaginary like that passes through the vertex and divides the parabola into two identical mirrored halves.
