IMLT #13: Chapter Constitution Part 1

General Active Membership Requirements

-Pre-health focus

-Cumulative Collegiate GPA of 3.0

-Semester GPA of 3.0 or higher

-Involvement in a Chapter Committee and/or holding a chapter leadership position

-Payment of Chapter and National Dues for financial upkeep

Prospective Member Status

student who has been invited to become a candidate for membership and has accepted a Bid

Active Member Status

-student who has accepted a Bid and has completed the Crossover initiation ritual

-attains lifetime membership unless voluntarily/involuntarily deactivated

-required to uphold active standards and fulfill requirements as enumerated by the Chapter Constitution

Inactive Member Status

-student approved to maintain affiliation with fraternity while taking leave for a single academic semester

-cannot maintain inactive status for two consecutive academic semesters

-cannot maintain inactive status in their last academic term (grounds for involuntary deactivation)

Probationary Member Status

-student who has failed to abide/uphold all active requirements and expectations and has been placed on disciplinary intervention for a single academic year

-cannot maintain status for two consecutive academic semesters or last academic term (grounds for involuntary deactivation)

Associative Member Status

-student who has maintained good standing in active membership for min number of academic semesters

-granted reduced membership requirements for the remainder of undergraduate affiliation

Alumni Member Status

member who has graduated while on good standing, as recognized by the National Fraternity

Early Alumni Status

-member who has been granted alumni status prior to completion/conferral of their undergraduate degree

-requires documented approval by Nationals

Transfer Member Status

-student who transfers into the chapter from another institution with a chapter

-students who transfer out of chapter to another institution with a chapter

Voluntary Deactivated Member Status

student who voluntary decides to disaffiliate from the Fraternity

Involuntary Deactivated Member Status

-student who involuntarily disaffiliated from the Fraternity

-due to consecutive semesters on inactive/probationary status

-due to grave acts of misconduct at the discretion of chapter leadership/nationals

-due to disaffiliation by conduct decision
