Individualism
The belief that people should be able to make their own choices and be responsible for themselves.
Equality of Opportunity
The principle that everyone should have a fair chance to succeed, with the same starting rules, not necessarily the same outcomes.
Free Enterprise (Free Market)
An economic system where private individuals and businesses make most economic decisions, guided by competition and private property, rather than the government.
Rule of Law
The principle that laws apply to everyone, including government leaders, and that the government must act according to law.
Limited Government
The concept that government power should be restricted (by the Constitution, separation of powers, and checks and balances) to prevent it from becoming too powerful.
