Briefly describe your educational experience.
I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in May 2007 from University of Rochester. I later pursued a Master of Science in Biomedical Forensic Science at Boston University which I completed in May 2010.
What is biomedical forensic science?
Biomedical forensic science is the application of forensic science disciplines such as chemistry, toxicology, DNA analysis, and biology to the law.
Are you currently working?
Yes, I currently work as a criminalist II at Boston University Biomedical Forensic Sciences Laboratory in the Chemistry Section.
When did you start working there?
I began working there in June 2010. I worked as a criminalist I from June 2010 to May 2018 until I was promoted to a criminalist II which I still currently worked as.
Briefly describe your current position duties?
As a criminalist II, I processed crime scenes which involves taking measurements, photographs, and sketches of the scene. Furthermore, I collected physical evidence which are processed back at the laboratory. At the laboratory, I generally analyzed the physical evidence for the presence of either illicit drugs, ignitable liquids, explosive residues, or gunshot residues.
Briefly describe your work experience during undergraduate.
During undergraduate, I worked as an office assistant at Wilmont Caner Center (March 2006 – May 2006) where I was responsible for dissembling clinical trial kits. Over the summer of that year (June 2006 – August 2006), I volunteered at Tripler Army Center in the Department of Clinical Investigation in which I assisted lab members by preparing reagents for them and collecting urine samples during the pig surgeries. Once I returned to school, that year, I volunteered at the university of Rochester Medical Center Gift Ship (October 2006 – December 2006) in which I restocked shelves and aided customers when needed.
Briefly describe your work experience during your master program.
During my master program, I worked as mailroom assistant at Boston University Mailroom (August 2008 – April 2009). My main responsibilities included processing incoming packages and retrieving packages for pickup for students and faculty members.
