Connects the CNS to the rest of the body and includes the somatic (SNS) and autonomic systems (ANS).

Controls voluntary movements and processes sensory input and includes five senses
Autonomic Nervous System
Handles automatic, involuntary functions like heart rate and digestion; houses sympathetic and parasympathetic systems.
