Marxist Criticism

The socio-economic response (the socio-economic lens) to literature based on considering class differences, usually economic because Karl Marx and Friedrich Engel’s writing focused on the class system and the influence of economics on a person’s experience of life. But this analysis can be extended to consider social status in relation to gender, sexual, ethnic, or racial identities.
