Pectoralis major
Chest, pushes arm forward, bench press and push up.
Deltoid
Shoulder, raises arm, lateral rise and shoulder press.
Biceps brachii
Front upper arm, flexes elbow, push up and bicep curls.
Triceps brachii
Back upper arm, extends elbow, triceps dip and push down.
Trapezius
Upper back and neck, elevates scapula, shoulder shrugs and rows.
Latissimus dorsi
Mid lower back, moves arm down and back, lat pull downs and pull ups.
Rectus Abdominis
Front abdomen, flexes the spine, crunch and sit ups.
Erector spinae
Along the spine, extends the spine, back extension and dead lifts.
Obliques
Side abdomen, rotates trunk, Russian twists and side plank.
Gluteus maximus
Buttocks, extends the hips, dead lift, squats and hip thrust.
Quadriceps
Front thigh, extends the knee, squat, leg press and lunges.
Hamstrings
Back thigh, flexes the knee, Romanian dead lift and leg curl.
Gastrocnemius
Back lower leg, plantarflexes foot and calf raise.
Tibialis anterior
Front lower leg, dorsi flexes foot and toe rises.
What is the Quadriceps?
Group of 4 muscles on the front thigh, rectus fermoris, vastus lateralis, vastus medialis, vastus intermedius, extends the knee.
Where is the Tibialis Anterior?
Its located on the front lower leg.
What dos the triceps brachii do?
Extends the elbow, used in dips and push downs.
Where is the deltoid?
Shoulder, it wraps around the shoulder joint.
What does the deltoid do?
Raises the arm, used in shoulder press and lateral raise.
